or should we use 1 HP and get experience based recruitments?
just like FATW and Viking Invasion, this is the best use of EDU matic (since experience based troops did largely negate "experience gap" when high experienced levy units can easily carve against fresh elites, this way, elite units start with experiences.
and BTW, experience increase, actually did increase one thing, evasion (can't be midified by EDU, I got that when reading somewhere in VI2 forum, or arthurian one), so missile troops will still murderous against levies, they'll have harder time against regulars and doing less damage against elites, even low armoured ones.
if we doing 1 HP, I suggest give them experience in this way:
- Bodyguards / Elite Veterans = 4 exp
- Elite = 3 exp
- Regular = 2 exp
- Trained Militia = 1 exp
- Peasants/Lowest Levies = 0 exp

we need to do a study of experienced vs unexperienced troops against missiles...

I suggest you to download either Norman Invasion or Viking Invasion 2
I don't suggest FATW because Gondorian and especially elven longbowmen is murderous against everyone, hardly a difference

Re: or should we use 1 HP and get experience based recruitments?
But will it work correct for the multiplayer?
I think, that elite doesn't mean experienced. If you are reach, and managed to buy good chainmail, iron longsword and other stuff, but you have never seen the battle, well, you are going to be kicked by levies who seen the elephant for sure. I'd rather prefer 2HP system.
BTW BTW
What about making the following unit scale for cavalry: 15 (in EDU numbers, so it is 30 on huge) for elite cavalry and Roman ala (if 80 on huge is a footman standart scale), 25 for medium and 30 for trash cavalry (javeliners for example). And giving extra HP for them as for cavalry.

unless you're using 2 HP basis (and the extra HP is 3), giving extra HP for cavalry (2HP against infantry's 1) will effectively make them OP, especially HA
remember cavalry units by default allready got 1.7 height advantage compared to 1 of you (roughly better attack and defense skills for same numbers), let's also mention speed
...
in MP, the EDU matic allready count the experience factor for prices I think (but in official FATW MP, king's longbowmen are limited to max 3 units per army, due to their murderous range and damage)... well, for elf, their numbers allready so low and unit cost expensive, so if they get in melee basically they're screwed

Re: or should we use 1 HP and get experience based recruitments?
but height gives disadvantage, wasn't that figured out?
Re: or should we use 1 HP and get experience based recruitments?
more height actually gives attack advantage, it's the unit radius who should be made smaller to make it advantage, since bigger unit radius will cause the unit to get killed sooner
like this
soldier dismounted_jawicatass_marmagarsari, 40, 0, 1.52, 0.3, 1.7
the furthest right is unit height (1.7) more height will make the unit get more advantage
the second furthest right is the unit radius, smaller radius will make the unit kill quicker and harder to be killed (also make more stable shield-wall in BI)
the third furthest, is unit mass
